In this project, a thermal system has been designed which produces 1 MW power for plant and also does the space heating, cooling and satisfy the power requirements of a nearby house district population of 400 people in the most economical way.
Energy systems consist of technical artifacts and processes as well as actors, organizations and institutions which are linked together in the conversion, transmission, management and utilization of energy. In this project we will use an industrial plant for generating electricity and satisfy other things which are specified about system. There a lot of power plant types which fulfills the design criteria. With our design criteria, our system will generate electricity and utilizes heat for space heating and cooling. The system accomplishes these criteria by the economic way. For the economic efficiency losses must be minimum percent and technical efficiency must be in high levels. Energy is the basic element of life cycle which never disappears. It turns to alternative form through processes for energy balance. People have been doing these processes consciously or unconsciously since the beginning of life on earth. Wind is important, favorable and renewable source that is used for generating alternative energy forms from natural sources.
The wind turbine is used for generating electricity from wind power which is an alternative way to transforming energy. The wind turbine system includes different parameters. These are generally associated with efficiency of the system because economic and structural parameters directly affect efficiency. Wind is a renewable source and has no fuel cost for generating electricity. It provides low cost energy production and avoids environmental pollution. The application of wind turbines will surely be supported by government such as payments and tax incentives which encourage investors. Besides, technical improvements about wind turbines provide greater systems and wide usage areas. The wind turbines which are used for generating energy from wind power should be used due to economic gains, environmental effects and technical conveniences. Energy is the key-source to sustainability of life that doesn't disappear, transforms. People should to use sources in an efficient method against careless consumption. Even the smallest atom on earth has to be used efficiently to sustainability of sources (food, light, heat, wood, plastic, water -> quite everything).
Various methods in accordance with efficiency have been generated due to necessities which can be easily detected in structures of traditional houses. The project had been carried out during my MSc. The present study is aimed to introduce a traditional Black Sea house in Zonguldak County from Turkey and examine it through considering all of factors which have various effects on this house. The house is located in Topallı Village, Eregli district. Topography, availability of building materials, climatic conditions, agricultural works and all of other factors have been studied in detail general structure of Black Sea houses have been determined. Materials, structures, orientation and location had been specified for Black Sea houses. The house is located in the hillside because of hilly natural structure of Black Sea region and has two floors that lower floor is used as a barn and top floor is living place. There is a garden in the back of the house which is oriented on slope and rear facade is facing south. The climate of village can be categorized under Oceanic Climate due to similarity about seasons and conditions. As in other traditional Black Sea houses, this building has two basic materials that are wood and stone. In the next chapters, general information about Black Sea houses, detailed introduction of selected house and detailed identification of House are examined. A software (Ecotech Software – Autodesk) was used for analysis of specified structure components. Analysis was performed for lightening (artificial & natural), U value of wall for different materials and polyurethane coating, heating and cooling and shade effects of components. |
